I didn't know of the sculpture but I'd love to see it now I know the story behind it. Vinnie Ream should be better known as she was the sculptress to have a piece in the Capitol Rotunda. Interesting to be given a human view of an iconic figure seen through the life of his sculptress.

The untold love story of Abraham Lincoln and the artist Vinnie Ream.

A romance.

A mystery involving the sixteenth President and the most appealing woman of her age.

From the author of "The Woman Who Loved John Wilkes Booth". Pamela Redford Russell once again delivers compelling historical fiction based on the life of a fascinating and real but forgotten woman.

Vinnie Ream was seventeen years old when she sculpted Abraham Lincoln in the White House during the last months of the President's life.

Their secret relationship began as the bloody Civil War was ending.

"Barefoot Lincoln: Vinnie Ream and the President" reveals the passionate liaison that engulfed Abraham Lincoln and Vinnie Ream in these dark and dangerous times.
